Docklands and Ilford karate Newsletter Sept 2017


Dear All,

We are now well into the holiday season but will be training all bar one week at both dojos during the summer.

Closed the week commencing: Monday 28th August

Re-opening the week commencing: Monday 4th September.

Congratulations to senpai Max da Costa on passing his shodan grading, turning 18yrs and passing his A levels. Also to Mihaly Ujj on attaining 1st kyu at summercamp.

Shihan Nick da Costa will be hosting an Advanced Clicker Course at Dunmow at the same time as a Junior Training Session. This will be an ideal time for both adults and juniors to attend and possibly travel together on: Sunday 17th September 11am-2pm Fee £10 for all. Open to all grades. T-Shirts: Are available in the dojo in White for adults & Juniors. Black from small to XL for adults. Cost £8 junior sizes & £10 adult sizes (small to XXL).

Club gradings:

Monday 25th September at Docklands 7pm.

Tuesday 26th September at Ilford 7:30pm.

All students must have an up-to-date licence, clean gi & pads. The fee up-to 3rd kyu is £10. Students will be informed one or two session prior, whether they are eligible to attend.

The British Open Knockdown is earlier this year (23rd Sept),. Tickets are available £25. Under 16yrs tickets £10 @ K2 Crawley.
